  Cédric Carlier began his training at the CNR in Reims where he obtained first prizes in double bass, chamber music and musical training, then at the CNSM in Lyon in the class of JP Céléa where he unanimously obtained the DNSPM in double bass with very good honors.

 

  He taught very early in several conservatories and is a referent professor at cefedem, appointed professor at the CNSM of Lyon in 2012, he also teaches in many international academies for students of all nationalities, and regularly takes Master classes in several conservatories and higher poles. in France and abroad (Europe and Asia)

 

  As a performer, after having been a member of the Paris orchestra from 1999 to 2007, he was named solo double bass of the Lyon National Opera in 2007, orchestras with which he rubbed shoulders with great conductors (L. Maazel, V .Gergiev, B.Haitink, P.Bould, W. Christie, K.Petrenko….)

 

  He is a creator and member of the chamber orchestra "Pelleas".

 

  He also participates in numerous chamber music concerts in France and abroad (tours in Europe, Asia, America), and recitals with piano or orchestra.

 

  He has also been a double bass player for several contemporary music ensembles, and since 2010 has been a member of the Lemanic Modern Ensemble where he is a performer in numerous creations.

 

  He is regularly invited as solo double bass in many orchestras: the Philharmonic Orchestra of Radio France, the National Orchestra of France, the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra, the Toulouse Capitole Orchestra, the Paris Chamber Orchestra ...
