     After musical studies at the CNR in cergy-Pontoise (1st prize for cello, chamber music, deciphering, analysis, solfège, improvement prize for chamber music and cello), Esther Brayer begins the double bass. She quickly joined the class of J.M. Rolllez and J.P. Celea at the CNSM in Paris and obtained her D.F.S. Mention Very Good unanimously with congratulations and a 1st prize for chamber music (class of C.Ivaldi).
     She diversified her training by following classes in jazz, baroque double bass, then orchestral academies (soloist of the OFJ in 1998, academies of the twentieth century, of Attergau with the Vienna Philharmonic), and worked with B. Cazauran, G. Ettore, W. Guttler, T. Barbé, AGy Araque, T.Martin, J.Katrama, J. navarro… to improve and explore various aesthetics. Called upon by R. Pidoux, T. Zimmerman, JG Queyras, N. Dautricourt, the Moragues quintet, the Ebène quartet and others to perform in chamber music at various concerts and festivals, also by orchestral groups such as the Orchester de Paris, the Opera Bastille, the Ensemble Orchestral de Paris, the ONPL, the Orchester du Capitole, the Philharmonic and the National de Radio France, as a soloist with the orchestra of Tours, Caen, Lamoureux, the Les Siècles orchestra, the Paris Mozart Orchestra, she has also worked with contemporary ensembles (TM +, Itinerary, the Intercontemporain ensemble). She is a member of the Pasticcio Barocco ensemble with D. Walter (2 albums with the Hérisson label), of the Chambre d'Amis, founder of a double bass quartet and co-founder of an artist collective Le Page ( music and dance theater).
     Previously a double bassist with the Orchester de La Garde Républicaine, she has been Double Bass Solo for the past 6 years with the Orchester National de Bordeaux Aquitaine. Holder of the D.E and C.A., she taught for 13 years at the C.R.R. of Cergy (95) and is currently a professor at the EMSP in Bordeaux as well as at the music school of Gradignan.
