Pianist

  Matthieu Ané began playing the piano at the CNR in Montpellier where he was awarded the Diplôme d'Etudes Musicales in 1998. He then studied at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Genève, at the Hochschule Der Kunste in Berlin, then improved his skills with Denis Pascal and obtained a prize of improvement of the CNR of Rueil - Malmaison as well as a 2nd prize at the International Piano Competition of Brest.

 

  His musical productions are numerous and varied (solo repertoire, chamber music, contemporary creations and even musical theater).

 

  He regularly plays the double bass repertoire during festivals and in particular the "Mardis Graves" in Occitanie with ThéotimeVoisin, Olivier Thierry, Bernard Cazauran, Cédric Carlier, A. Bocini, Thierry Barbé, Tony Araque ... At the same time, Matthieu Ané is also a double bass player and has a particular passion for the symphonic repertoire, which also leads him to work as an orchestra conductor.

 

  He is the founder of the symphonic orchestra course at Les Essarts (near Rouen) which takes place every year in the last week of October.

 

  Holder of the Certificate of Piano Aptitude, Matthieu currently teaches piano and chamber music at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Départemental in Cachan and directs various instrumental ensembles in Île de France.

 

  Recently, he has started to compose chamber music pieces and instrumental ensembles.
